The Google group, bikerichmond.org, is used as a mailing list to organize people around bicycle projects in Richmond.
Bike Richmond has worked on many bike advocacy projects. They produced a map of bike-able streets in the city, led an effort to get bike racks downtown, made a petition to take down signs downtown that said "No Bikes Downtown," and have measured roads to see if bike lanes could be added without expanding the roads.
Fun fact: Richmond used to have a bike factory in the 1890s.
