和安原料區 He An Raw Material Zone

台糖公司的業務分工廠、鐵道、農場以及農務四個部門，和安原料區即屬於農務推廣處，內設推廣員及主任一人，推廣員約於農曆七月至村莊辦理種甘蔗的登記業務，統計出本年度有多少種植面積，以回報公司。農民可先向原料區預借蔗種、肥料、現金，待採收後再於收成所得中扣除。
Taiwan Sugar Corporation had four main divisions. They include the factory, railway, field and farming divisions. The He An Raw Material Zone was part of the farming division. This division included marketing staff and one marketing director. During the lunar month of July, the marketing staff surveyed and registered local sugar cane planting statistics in local villages. The data was used for estimating sugar cane planting acreage. This division also provided loans for the farmers. The farmers could get loans for seed, fertilizer and cash. The farmer paid back the loan from their harvesting income.
