Overview
-At the Brandy Branch Generation Station, excess heat from combustion turbines that would otherwise be lost to the atmosphere is captured and used to generate up to 50% more emission free power without consuming additional fuels.
-In another strong push towards environmental sustainability and clean energy, JEA made a purchase power agreement with PSEG Solar Source LLC to purchase the power from a 15 megawatt solar farm PSEG built on 100 acres at Brandy Branch Generating Station. The solar farm has 200,000 photovoltaic panels and will provide enough energy to power 4,600 homes when running at full power.
