Overview
Brooklyn Grange is a commercial organic farm located on a rooftop in Long Island City Queens. They produce vegetables, eggs, and honey and sell them to local people and businesses. Their goal is "to improve access to very good food, to connect city people more closely to farms and food production, and to make urban farming a viable enterprise and livelihood." Volunteers are welcome on Saturdays during the growing season. Visit their website to learn more about volunteering and their exciting plans for expansion.
