Gainesville-Hawthorne State Trail
Overview
Gainesville-Hawthorne State Trail is a Rail to Trail project that connects the city of Gainesville with the city of Hawthorne, more than 12 miles apart. It is a great recreational destination, as it provides access to many natural areas such as the La Chua Trail and the La Chua Lake overlook. Wild horses, bison, alligators and birds are animals that can be seen while biking through this trail.
