Guincho Beach
Overview
One of the most beautiful beaches closest to Lisbon, the Guincho Beach is popularly known as a surfing spot. It has an outstanding dune system that has become very damaged in the last decades. A mega project is now in place to recover the dunes and create an interpretation centre with educational and environmental activities.
The beach can be reached by public transportation, walking or cycling. There is a camping place just beside.
