Hatteras Histories and Mysteries Museum is a local museum owned and operated by native Hatteras Islander and local historian/author, Scott Dawson, The museum tells the story of the island's history from the geological formation of the island through the Native Way of Life on to the English Contact Period (including the infamous Lost Colony) onwards to Blackbeard, Civil War, and more.
