SmartCape Access
Overview
Digital access makes the world go around, but in disadvantaged communities it is often out of reach. The SmartCape Access Point project provides almost 300 000 registered users with free access to computer and Internet facilities at City libraries. For more than a decade it has helped them cross the ‘digital divide’ and access opportunities online. Uses range from things like weather reports for fishermen, to CV preparation for the unemployed, to school project research.
