Cape Town TV is a free-to-air channel that is dedicated to providing the people of Cape Town with a television service that is entertaining, informative and educational. The channel is run by a non-profit organisation and is licensed as a community television station.

The channel aims to provide the people of Cape Town with access to television for community building purposes.

Individuals, companies and civil society groups can join in our programming and production activities.

Cape Town TV went live on 1 September 2008. The channel plays an eclectic mix of local and international content that ranges from documentaries about Cape Town's people and history to sports, events, entertainment and spirituality. Find out what's happening in Cape Town; 2010 Fifa World Cup preparations or wonder at the latest conspiracy theories; get positive lifestyle messages and tune in to international perspectives with Al Jazeera's global newscast on CTV.

CTV is a station with a difference - never afraid to back away from real issues and a space for the free flow of ideas. CTV focuses on human rights issues both at home and abroad, and gives voice to Cape Town's many communities through both content and volunteer opportunities.
