Raising Prawns in the City strives to establish sustainable urban aquaponics in Baltimore city. Aquaponics is a blend of aquaculture, raising aquatic animals in tanks, and hydroponics, growing plants in water. This organization hopes to provide the city with prawns and produce as well as workshops, educational opportunities, and workforce training. Additionally, this organization desires to create a model for urban aquaponics that can be implemented in other cities.
