Vue d'ensemble

Aucu vote pour l'instant.

Originally part of the Penrice estate this woodland still has the remnants of the late 18th century landscape tree planting and the original ancient woods that have occupied the site for many years.
A Plantation on Ancient Woodland Site (PAWS) consisting mainly of ash woodland with some oak woods and a small amount of wet woodland. In the past, Forestry Commission plantings have included western hemlock, Norway spruce, silver fir and beech, and the mixture of trees makes it very interesting and excellent for wildlife. Some of the fauna present includes badgers, foxes, otters, buzzards, sparrowhawks and some bat species. Also a ruined mill and pond, which are remnants of the Penrice Estate.
