Established in 1987 Edgemont Montessori School practices its educational foundation based upon the instructional practice of Dr. Maria Montessori. Today, Principal Ms. Cheryl Hopper is head of Edgemont School hosting students from kindergarten to the fifth grade. Edgemont School has introduced "BOLTAGE," an innovative program designed to get kids walking and biking to school. This voluntary program offers all 300 students the opportunity to register and learn about the benefits of “self-powering” to school. Tags and wristbands are registered to students online by parents to clock how many trips are taken. The more trips, the more the student learns about the benefits of exercising along with the chance of winning prizes!
