Dubuque Rescue Mission Thrift Store
Overview
In 1932, a number of Dubuque area churches explored the possibility of providing a ministry to the less fortunate. Originally, there was a need to minister to the transients who traveled the nation during the Great Depression. From these beginnings, the Dubuque Rescue Mission was born.
One of the services provided is a Thrift Store, located on the first floor of the Mission. Donations can be dropped off at the Thrift Store during business hours or if there are large items, arrangements can be made to have the Mission truck pick them up. Call 583-1394 to arrange a pickup time.
The Mission also has a garden to grow much of the food for their meal program.
Hours: 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays.
